about
This is a song about one of my personas, Swan Flambe, killing off another one of my personas, Ty. Told from the perspective of Swan Flambe's dog.
lyrics
My boss lady's name is Swan Flambe
She'd sing all night and sleep all day
The Jaspers in town all thought she'd skate around
But the ones who knew best would just let their traps rest
'Cause an angry swan doesn't let punks in her nest
She'd ride the hack to Jackson and back
And come home late right lousy with jack
Cheese it in her box and check all the locks,
Pour her jorum of skee, three fingers of white
She'd throw me a bone and go flop for the night
She came home one evening knee deep in Dutch
I smelt it on her sweat, I felt it in her touch
Mascara stains like rivers on her map
I nuzzled her flippers awaiting the rap
As soon as she said she had no other choice
I had it chalked up to wrong gee trouble boys
A skid rogue if I ever smelled one,
I knew Ty was a hinky gun
Hooch on his breath, tea on his clothes,
A shadowy puss with snow on his nose
I knew there was only one way this would go
He'd sneeze my bone and sock my ribs
I'd growl and howl and scowl at him
But the lowest of all was how he'd treat his Moll
He'd pitch her the woo, then stick her a goog
And eyeball her keyster like I eye my food
One night after Swan had dusted the coop,
Peterman Ty showed up with the soup
Nearly barked off my beezer as he popped the can
And in an instant he had twenty large in his hand
It was almost a drift, but before he could split,
I bit a chunk out of his getaway sticks
The moment I tasted that bindle stiff's meat,
I saw Swan in the doorway, heeling her heat
She pointed the gat and threw lead at the cat
Flambe, off the track, stuffed the stiff in a sack,
We took the run-out and we never looked back
Since then we've been dormy in Anderson
It's greasy and lonely and rainy as sin
But I've got my boss, and she's got me
And my bones since then have been more of a treat
I'll never live to see the day
That the law catches up with my Swan Flambe
